通産3枚目になるフルアルバムにして、日本デビュー作。邦題は「暗黒の帝王」
何故本作まで日本上陸されなかったかは謎だが、「Nuclear Blast」に移籍したことが関係するのか。何はともあれ彼らの音楽が飛躍的に向上された作品である今作は、CovenantのNagashが加入。基本的には本質は変わってはいないが、音質と構成力が格段に向上したと言い切れる。現在のDIMMU BORGIRの原点であるといっても過言ではないほど、飛躍した作品。今聴いても、まだ発展途上なところがあるものの当時の彼らにしか出来ない素晴らしさがある。 |
